This is a fabulous side dish for holidays, or anytime because it tastes so good!

From the Kitchen:
1 head of cabbage coarsely chopped
1 package of bacon, around 12 slices
1 1/2 cups large sweet onion diced
1 teaspoons ground black pepper
3-5 cloves of garlic minced
2 teaspoons smoked paprika

Steps:
Step 1
Fry 10 slices of bacon over medium in a skillet or frying pan until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan onto a paper towel. Leave the bacon grease in the pan.
Step 2
Add 1 1/2 cups chopped or diced onions, and 3-5 cloves of garlic very finely chopped to the pan. Then sauté garlic and onions over medium-low until fragrant and browned but not burned.
Step 3
Add a full head of chopped cabbage, cut to half inch or smaller pieces in with the onions in the pan.
Step 4
Once the cabbage has been added to the pan, add 2 teaspoons smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon black pepper, then mix thoroughly and cooked over medium-high stirring frequently for about 4-6 minutes.
Step 5
Fry the mixture until the cabbage begins to wilt. Then add the bacon back to the pan, and continue cooking and stirring for another 2-4 minutes, then remove from heat and ENJOY!!
